Ingredients

  • ¾ lb Italian Sausage,Cooked
  • 2 ¾ cups Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Yeast
  • cups Water,Warm
  • 2 tablespoons Margarine
  • 1 Egg,Room Temperature
  • 12 ounces Mozzarella Cheese,Grated
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water,Cold

Directions

In large skillet, brown sausage; set aside.

In large bowl mix flour,
sugar, salt, italian seasoning and yeast. Add water, margarine, and
one egg. Mix, adding more flour or water if needed to make soft dough.
Knead four minutes.

Divide into three equal pieces. Roll each into
14x4" strips. Stir cheese into sausage mixture. Spoon 1/3 mixture
down center of each strip. Pinch long edges together, forming 14"
ropes, seal ends. Braid ropes together on greased cookie
sheet. Wrap in saran wrap and then heavy duty foil. Freeze. If
cooking immediately, brush with egg and water mixture. Let rise double.
Bake 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until done. Serve warm.

Serving Day:
Thaw overnight. Let rise double. Beat remaining egg with cold water.
Brush egg mixture on loaf. Bake 400 degrees for 25 minutes until done.
Serve warm.
