- ⅓ cup shortening
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup milk

Directions
In a bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat well.
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and mix well.
Fill greased muffin cups or paper-lined muffin cups half full.
Bake 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
In a shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
Dip muffin tops in butter, then in cinnamon-sugar. Serve warm.
These are so yummy served warm at breakfast.
